The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
WORD:
Jesus is basically stating his reason for coming down to this earth. Two things come to mind, either there’s already a thief or there’s a thief coming. In both cases, he will restore what is stolen, killed and destroyed. Your faith and belief in the power of the risen Jesus is the beginning or continuation of the restoration process towards an abundant life in Christ Jesus. Your possessions are protected, life is secured in Christ’s shadow and you’re a rock that can’t be destroyed. Steer away from the thief and the accuser. Walk in the full measure of “the abundant life”.
PRAYER:
Thank you Lord for coming so that we can have a meaningful and fulfilled life. Give us the wisdom and courage to flee sin and embrace your gift of grace and abundance. In Jesus’ name I pray.
