“Blessed are those whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord will never count against them.”
WORD:
The prerequisite for forgiveness is “repentance”. David more than any man would know this best. The agony of shame and the burden of carrying the guilt of a loving father is something we may have all experienced several times in a lifetime. There is the fear of not just rejection, but of the thought that we are undeserving of God’s mercy due to the gravity of our offenses. But the stretched arms of the father wraps around us when we ran into it no matter the circumstances. The merciful God isn’t just looking to forgive, but sent His son Jesus as a down payment for our redemption so that His judgement will not count against us. I dare you today, if you feel a sense of rejection from God to ask Him to restore you. It’s not in God’s interest to count scores against you. It violates His love and grace. Come as you are.
PRAYER:
Come O Lord into my life and may your will reign over any transgression in my life. Please forgive my unbelief and count not my sins against me. In Jesus’ name I pray.
