WK 36 - His Will, Our Confidence Into His Presence.
1 John 5:14-15 (NIV)
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.
WORD:
Confidence is a standard for measuring our stance and standing with God. We are most confident when we know we are walking in His will. Sin robs us of our confidence and makes us uncertain of our place with God. We question our approach towards God and not sure if He is still on our side. If we are certain He is on our side, we are confident that He hears us. The opposite of this situation is when we are timid and judge ourselves thinking He is angry with us. The key to receiving is to ask according to His will which will be what He wants for you and not necessarily what you want for yourself. He delays our requests until they align with His timing. We must remain confident He will fulfill His promises. No matter your state, approach Him and you will find what you need: Mercy, Deliverance, Joy, Peace, Blessings and healing.
PRAYER:
I pray O Lord that you forgive all my sins and restore me to a place of confidence before your throne. Lead me to walk in and desire your will in all situations. In Jesus’ name I pray.
