WK 26 - His Mercies, A Divine Provision For Restoration.

Psalm 103:11-13 (NIV)

For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.

WORD:

The mercy of God is on full display in these 3 verses. There is a north to south, east to west standard being described here. The fascinating piece of this for me is the assurance that his mercies are greater for those who fear Him. There is a difference between knowing who God is and fearing Him. The fact that there is room and latitude for the righteous speaks to the possibility that God knows us more than we might know ourselves and what we may or may not do in the future. Most of the characters in the Bible though prophets, priests and servants of God all fell short at a point despite the great move of God’s power through them. You are human, and the flesh has its weaknesses. You may fall short at a point but deliverance and restoration are perfectly placed to lift you up.

PRAYER:

When I fall Oh Lord, let your mercies and righteousness deliver me and restore my knowledge of your majesty. In Jesus’ name I pray.
